Temporary housing, again
It has been almost a year since I updated you all. This is due to a major surgery on my neck in January of 2020. I was in a great deal of pain for over 3 months. I had to go to the emergency room 4 times for morphine and was on narcotics. I am fully recovered and we are on to the next step in rebuilding our lives.
What is the next step? Our insurance is not paying for our rent anymore beginning September 30, 2020. Like most families, we cannot pay rent and a mortgage at the same time. So, we opt for a motor home to live in until we can get our house finished.
Our home was finished in June of 2019 and we had been waiting to submit permits with a contractor who would pour the concrete foundation and “button up” the house. No contractor came though. Apparently they are very busy and there was some sort of cement shortage . . .
We are forced to do the foundation ourselves. I have friends and family who are contractors and they are coming to help us. We will live in the motor home until we get the foundation done. The home can be delivered immediately and we will finally be at the end of this mess.
Keep on praying for us. Thank you.
